St. Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as “The Little Flower of Jesus,” is most remembered for her “Little Way” of doing small things with great love.

Though she lived a quiet life, her deep reflections on the love of Christ, along with her powerful intercessory actions from heaven, have touched the lives of the faithful for many decades. The true measure of this impact can be gleaned from the words of Saint Piux X, who called St. Thérèse “the greatest saint of modern times.”

Before she died, Thérèse explained, “after my death, I will let fall a shower of roses. I will spend my time in heaven doing good upon earth.” And after she died, roses did, quite literally, appear to those who asked for her intercession, as did the smell of roses. All who have received (and continue to receive) this gift of roses are given great comfort and consolation in knowing that St. Thérèse has taken their petitions before God.
